Welcombe Hills, Stratford-Upon-Avon. Our English Rosé is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Dornfelder. Subtle on the nose, with aromas of red apple, wild strawberry and wet stone minerality. Gentle red berries, with a nice balance of strawberries and cream gives a well rounded palate, with an elegant lingering finish. This is a great aperitif but would also work well with shellfish, grilled salmon and vegetarian dishes. Suitable for vegans.

It was the vision of farmer Martin Vickers 30 years ago to plant a vineyard that would one day match continental sites. Today, 30 acres of vines are managed by Martin and produce award-winning wines crafted by his son Clive. A family business, the acclaimed shop, restaurant & tea rooms are run by Clive’s wife Lisa, and offer a great day out for visitors.

]]>Welcombe Hills Vineyard is a family business run by husband and wife team, Jonathan and Nichola Kelsey. In 2017, a job change moved our family 100 miles from London to rural Warwickshire. We were lucky enough to fall in love and buy a house nestled on the Welcombe Hills that overlooks Stratford-Upon-Avon that also came with a small English vineyard. We decided from the start, despite no experience, that we were going to manage it ourselves and it has been a rollercoaster of a ride!

]]>Woodchester Culver Hill A delightfully fresh, dry white blend made from Bacchus, Ortega and Pinot Blanc. Bringing structure and richness to the mid palate, bright citrus notes depth depth and complexity. Aromas of Braeburn apple, honeysuckle and nectarine with subtle minerality on the palate, a well balanced acidity and a clean finish.
Welcombe Hills The Tempest A pale straw yellow colour with a captivating bouquet of fresh-cut grass, dewy elderflower blossoms, and a hint of citrus zest. A pale and elegant white wine. Very floral on the nose with white blossom and elderflower. Nice concentration on the palate with fruit notes of peach, pear and grapefruit with a beautifull balanced acidity leading to a strong finish. It pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes, from creamy goat cheese and vibrant asparagus to delicate fish dishes showcasing the bounty of the British Isles. Intensely golden, complex and full-bodied with delicate aromas of soft ripe pineapple and papaya. Creamy with subtle layers of vanilla smokiness, this is an elegant wine with distinctly moreish qualities and a long balanced finish.
Brightwell Oxford Regatta Red
A versatile wine that drinks well on its own, or accompanying any food. Clean and smooth it will balance red meats or highly spiced foods such as Chinese and Thai dishes. A very clean, fully dry red wine, blended principally from Dornfelder grapes. A similar style to northern Italian red wines, it has a refreshing clarity and is redolent of English summer berries, cherries and damson and a long finish. Oak barrel aged, it has firm tannins, and is an outstanding example of the ever-improving quality now being achieved in English winemaking.
Halfpenny Green Sparkling Red English Sparkling Wine made in the traditional, or “Champagne” method. Bursting with fruit, lifted by soft bubbles, ending with a seductive smoky finish. Serve chilled, on its own or as an aperitif, or with red meats, roasts and game.
Chafor Vintage Cuvee
A properly bottle aged sparkler from an excellent English vineyard. Lemon gold with spicy fruit and hints of peach. A fine mousse with prolonged undertones of honeyed fig, baked apple and toasted brioche.
